Hello, I’m Andy. Artist / writer / producer, mainly working from a comfortable studio in the East End of Glasgow. As a member of Frightened Rabbit, was multi-instrumentalist and contributing producer, in the studio and on stage. Having been on both sides of the recording glass I’m keen to create comfortable spaces for artists to be themselves.
I’ve worked on a myriad of projects from from up-and-coming songwriters to established alternative icons. With releases on Atlantic, FatCat, Canvasback, Melodic, BigScaryMonsters and more helping artists from seed to master, bring their unique vision to life.
I love distortion, I love it clean, maximalism, minimalism - it's what's coming out the speakers that matters and getting to a point that the emotion is communicated.
I started Monohands Records to release music I believe in - Fiskur, Jill Lorean and Lewis McLaughlin.
